Public Health perspective We are currently living in a global pandemic, so the public health practice affects my life and others daily. With a COVID-19 vaccines now available to me and others, there is an option for disease prevention. Not only is it an option for disease prevention, but hopefully it is the beginning of controlling COVID-19. Difference between individual health and population health Individual health pertains to the health or care of one individual/patient. Population health takes a life cycle approach, considering how risks to health affect the population throughout the life span (Riegelman & Kirkwood, 2019).
